The 5^th Annual Alumni Tourney is in the books, and plays for # 6 are well under way.

52 players hit the ice in the ole tin barn for the 5^th annual Westport Rideaus Alumuni tournament. Split into 4 teams, every squad played 3 games, enjoyed some beverage, lunch and telling of some old tales. The day was capped off with another superb dinner at the Cove, those players who could still cut rug ( or so they thought) hit the dance floor with wives and girlfriends. The local shinny squad begin play in 1968 and players in the alumni tourney came from 60’s right through to 2009. Another great day, hope the 6^th annual tourney brings everyone back and few more.

A fun day of some ‘Rideaus shinny” followed by dinner and dancing at The Cove. The aim of the program is to reunite former players and staff with the Junior “B” organization, recognize alumni for their contributions to the hockey club and to serve as a fundraiser for the current team.

Membership includes:

1. A season pass to all regular season home games in calendar 2011.

2. Alumni hockey tournament to be set between Christmas & New Years 2010.

3. Dinner and dancing at the Cove after the tournament.

4. Spending time with old friends and teammates.

Cost of membership for the season is $100.
